Anthony L. "Tony" Brothen 1978 - 2015 Anthony L. "Tony" Brothen, 37, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Oct. 2, 2015. He was born on Jan. 21, 1978, to Randy and Christine (Hyde) Brothen in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School. Tony received his Bachelor's in Business Marketing from UW- Parkside. On May 5, 2007, he married Kathryn (Katie) Welch at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He became a father to Addison May on March 26, 2009, and to Kennedy Joy on June 16, 2011. Tony worked as an auto adjuster trainer for All State Insurance. Tony attended St. Mary's Catholic Church with his daughters. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars and going up north to the cabin. He also was an avid Packer fan. Tony loved being with his daughters and was wonderful dad and friend to all. Tony is survived by his wife Katie, his daughters Addison May and Kennedy Joy, his parents Randy and Christine Brothen of Kenosha, his sister Katherine Elizabeth (Hansel) Lugo, his niece Layla Elizabeth Lugo of Kenosha and his grandmother Elizabeth Ann Miles of Kansas City, Mo. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Edgar L. Brothen and William Hyde. A Mass of Christian Burial for Tony will be held on Friday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church (corner of 39th Avenue and 74th Street). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home and again on Friday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
