Neils, Anita E.Anita E. Neils, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Anita was born on September 10, 1928 to the late Rueben and Helen Schilling. Anita graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in the class of 1947. She was united in marriage on June 24, 1950 at St. Dominic Catholic Church to the late Charles Neils. Anita was a Teacher's Aide for 20 years helping special needs students. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She enjoyed genealogy and spent much time researching her family's history, tracing it back to the 1500s. Anita also enjoyed knitting, making a blanket for each grandchild and great-grandchild. Even late in life she was a teacher, as she taught her Comfort Keepers to knit. Anita and her husband were very active in Boy Scouts for 25 years as well where Anita earned the Fleur-de-Lis Award and the St. George Award. She has one son and two grandsons that are Eagle Scouts.Anita is survived by her children, Paul (Diana), Carol (Larry) Reisinger, Allen (Denise), Mark (Nancy), Bruce (Faith) and Glenn; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Curt) Lienau of Shawano; sisters-in-law, Shirley Schilling, Patricia Neils, Elizabeth Neils, Louise Neils, Jean Neils and Judy Kurtz; brother-in-law, Herbert (Doris) Neils as well as other friends and relatives.Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers, Donald, Robert and Frederick as well as numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, and will continue at church on Friday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.There has been a memorial fund established in Anita's name at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
