This obituary is administered by:

On May 1, 2023, the lord called home the purest of soul of the Jones family in Anice Clara Jones. She is the oldest of the child set of seven children, the jewel of the family. She was a unique woman some would say developmentally disabled but to her family that was her superpower.

Anice was born July 14, 1947, to Lee and Willie Devon Jones. In Chicago, IL. She was a dedicated Christian, loyal, loving, and creative woman that served over 40 yers in the church with her self-taught musical ability to play the organ at First Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She had full life and worked 15 years with LCAR and then Opportunity Enterprise. She travelled this country and abroad with travel groups. She has also experienced a significant love with Donald Reed.

Anice Jones is preceded by her father and mother, Lee and Willie Jones, Her brother Roman, and sister Lucille. She is succeeded by sisters, Lorraine (Alvin) Burleigh, Lois Jones (Guardian/Caretaker), Brothers Glen Jones, Jerry (Cindi) Jones. Although she did not have children she participated in the care and rearing of all of her nieces and nephews which are William Taylor, Melissa Vortice, Artisha Cook, Roman Jones, Octavis Jordan, Antwan (Monique) Jordan, Alvin (Donna) Burleigh III, Keka (Derrick) Sanders, Quincy Jones, Shawn Jones, Michael Martin, David (Tameka) Jones, Antonio Jones, Charletta Jones, Romell (Jacquay) Jones, Nicole (Jarron) Rollins, Javan Comer, Jerwuan Lewis, Rodney Taylor and Shekinah Allen and a host of great nieces and nephews, extended family, friends of Opportunity Enterprise, and lastly but definitely not least the love of her life Donald Reed.
