Amy Jo (Fleming) TrauPEORIA - Amy Jo (Fleming) Trau, 60, of Ballwin, MO, formerly of Litchfield and Peoria, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at 10:23 a.m. in Wayne County, MS.She was born on July 2, 1956, in Litchfield, a daughter of Harold Lee and Loann G. (Marburger) Fleming. She obtained her Nursing degree from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria, her BSN in Nursing from St. Francis Medical College of Nursing in Peoria, her MS in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet and, lastly, her MBA from The University of St. Francis in Joliet.Amy was the Chief Operating Officer for Bethesda Health Group in St. Louis, where she provided strategic and tactical planning and growth for the organization's businesses. She had previously worked at OSF Health Care Systems in Peoria for 28 years. She was active with United Way Women's Leadership Society, Leadership St. Louis Class of 2014 and served as a Board Member and Mentor with Health Care Business Women's Association. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, where she often served as a soloist.She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising and spending vacations in Orange Beach, AL.Amy loved her entire extended family, but adored her nieces and nephews, and loved spending time with her beloved husband, Mike. She was a people person and enjoyed attending musical theatres and shopping, and loved her work, where she was an expert in her field. She was also an avid Cardinals and Blues fan.She married Michael Trau on May 27, 1978, in Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He survives.She is also survived by 1 sister, Jane (Mark) Leitschuh of Troy; and several nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. The Rev. Fred Kraemer and the Rev. Carl Eckhoff of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
