Aline L. NengelAGE: 99 • Elkton, MDAline L. Nengel, age 99 of Elkton, MD passed away on March 8, 2017. She was born on August 26, 1917 in Sharptown, MD to the late, Charles R. Fletcher and Viola A. (Waller) Fletcher.Aline was a member of Sussex Pines Country Club where she enjoyed going for meals, swimming, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing card games, especially Bridge with her fellow friends. Aline will be remembered for her delicious home cooked meals, such as her famous vegetable soup. She enjoyed cooking for holiday parties where her family and friends enjoyed her banana cake and Christmas cookies. Most of all, Aline loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.Aline is survived by her daughters: Ann Robinson and her husband, Don of Newark, DE and Charlene Havens and her husband, Don of Gig Harbor, WA; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Aline is preceded in death by her husband, Stewart L. Nengel; and sister, Betty F. Wheat.A Celebration of Aline's life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:30PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 11:30AM. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
