Alica Sue "Sis" JonesMOUNT PERRY: Alica Sue "Sis" Jones, 53, of Mount Perry, OH, passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio, from a sudden illness.Alica was born on June 26, 1960 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond E. and Susan P. Jones of Mount Perry. She graduated from Perry County Community School, was employed by PerCo Inc., and lived at home with her parents.Alica was born with Down Syndrome but would never allow herself to be "disabled." She was passionate about her job at PerCo Inc., rarely missing a day. Alica adored all of her nieces and nephews and enjoyed watching them participate in their numerous activities. She had an undeniable fervor for the Ohio State Buckeyes and could be seen sporting OSU apparel on many occasions. Being a member of the Mount Perry Presbyterian Church, she attended on most Sundays and enjoyed singing her favorite hymns.In addition to her loving parents, Alica is survived by a brother, Kirt (Sue) Jones of Zanesville; sisters, Angela (Dave) Custer of Mount Perry, and Rae Jean (Dave) Pollock of Etna; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Alice Mitchell, and Raymond and Orpha Jones; an uncle, Daniel Mitchell; and a niece, Megan Custer.Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset and one hour prior to the service at the church. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Mount Perry Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ken Kirk officiating.
