ALBERTA BATTLE, 88, of Chicago, Illinois, passed on April 23, 2021. ALBERTA was born on October 14, 1932. Alberta was born to the late Robert and Joann Battle, a bricklayer and a school teacher, in Jackson, MS on October 14, 1932. She was immersed into the christain community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She graduated from THE UNIVERSITY of JACKSON STATE with a degree in biology and accepted a position as a high school biology teacher Chicago, IL where she would teach for 20 years. Alberta was blessed with a large and loving family. She raised two beautiful children with patience, discipline, and humility. She was kind, softly spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem no matter how small. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
