Albert Lee Anderson Jr., 91, passed peacefully in his Chicago, IL home Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Albert was born on January 01 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama to Albert Lee Sr, and Mable Ann Anderson. As a child, he learned to work on cars from his father who ran the local mechanic shop. In 1945, he joined the Armed Forces and was assigned to the Marine Corps base in Lejeune, North Carolina where he earned several medals including the Purple Heart.

Albert was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a patient and loving father who loved to fish. He married Dorothy Jean Anderson in Charleston, North Carolina in 1953.

He is survived by his daughters Angelene, Renee, Denise and Kim; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and daughter, Theresa Anderson.
