Schram, Jr., 91, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.Albert was born on July 13, 1925, in Utica, the son of Albert J., Sr., and Estelle (Koszutowski) Schram. He attended Blessed Sacrament School and was a graduate of Proctor High School. Albert was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, stationed in the Pacific Theatre during WW II, and also served during the Korean Conflict.On November 29, 1953, he married Elizabeth Avenall in Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY, a blessed union of nearly 63 years.Albert was a firefighter with the Utica Fire Department for 37 years and later was employed with Indium Corporation for 25 years. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Lourdes Men's Club, Nocturnal Adoration Society, the American Legion Post #229, Loyal Order of the Golden Dragon and the Sons of Neptune.Surviving are his beloved wife, Elizabeth; five children, Albert T. (Catherine) Schram, Florida, Lawrence J. (Christine) Schram, Utica, Robert (Judith Williams) Schram, Tupper Lake, Anne E. (David) DeCola, Whitesboro, and Francis (Teresa) Schram, New Hartford; sister, Barbara Ladock, New Hartford; and grandchildren, Michael, Bethany, Emily and David. Albert also leaves nieces, nephews and his close friends, Ed and Kathy Gunn. He will be sadly missed by his grand dogs, Mr. Peckerman, Ace and Oscar Madison. Albert was predeceased by his beloved son, Michael J. Schram. He leaves behind his favorite "heaven" chair.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. The family will receive guests following the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville.Remembrances in Albert's name may be made to .
