AVON LAKE – Zachary Lee Manilla, 26, of Avon Lake passed away peacefully at Elyria Medical Center on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was born on August 26, 1990 and was a 2009 graduate of Avon Lake High School. Zachary attended Lorain County Community College and worked with the Laborers Local 758. Zachary will be remembered for his kindness and his ability to make friends with everyone. He loved the outdoors, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and long walks in nature. He also enjoyed music and playing bass and acoustic guitar. Zachary was a blessing to all and was loved dearly by his family. He had a strong belief in organ donation which led to him being able to give the gift of life to others, and would encourage others to consider organ donation as well. Zachary is survived by his father David; sister Mikayla Keating; grandparents Fox and Mary White; aunts and uncles on his father's side: Chuck and Lisa, Mike and Beth and their children Reese and Eve; and Susan; aunts and uncles on his mother's side: Jay and Susan, Teresa, and Jim. He was preceded in death by his mother Kimberley D. Manilla, his maternal grandparents Butch and Peggy Krause, and his paternal grandfather Donald G. Manilla. In lieu of flowers, and in order to help others, the family requests that you reach out to people in need who have mental health issues and/or are living in homeless shelters; or donate to St. Joseph Overnight Shelter, PO Box 766, Lorain, OH 44052 or to your local food bank. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake on Sunday, November 13 from 2 to 6pm. Funeral service will be held following visitation at the funeral home at 6pm.
