Willie Scott was born on May 18th 1946 to the late Will and Gladys Scott In Birmingham, Alabama. As a young child, he relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1954. He attended Northeastern High School where he was a athlete. In September of 1966 he entered the United States Army and served honorably in the Vietnam War where he was injured. Willie was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts for his bravery in the United States Military. He worked at Love's Leather for more than twenty years and retired as a disabled veteran. Willie was joined in holy matrimony to Dahl Garner ( deceased ) in October of 1976 and to this union one Child was born. Willie was blessed to enjoy the life of his son Willie Jr. ( deceased ). 

Willie leaves to cherish his memory a loving family. Seven siblings: Timothy Scott, Clayton Scott, Terrance Scott, Sharena Scott, Shenetta Scott, Dominque Scott and Urneka Scott. Five Grandchildren: Ashley, Antonyo, Quantia, Daveion and Demarkco. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
