William "Bill" TaylorBonita Springs, FLWilliam "Bill" Darby Taylor Jr., age 68, of Bonita Springs, died Saturday, Nov. 26 2016 in Lakeland FL, after a long struggle with illness. He was born on June 23, 1948 to the late William Darby and Edith Taylor. He grew up in New Jersey and graduated from David Brearley High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1968 and served during the
Vietnam War for six years. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and went on to attend The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, NY. He moved to Bonita Springs, FL in 1978 and opened many successful sign shops throughout Southwest, FL. He retired in 2008 to spend more time with his family. He was a Mason. He is survived by his children, William (Liz) Taylor of Lakeland, FL, Casey Taylor of Bonita Springs, FL, Jeffrey (Jill) Hassel of Bonita Springs, FL, Brian (Charity) Hassel of Jacksonville, FL, Scott (Jen) of Jacksonville, FL; Sister Edith (Emil) Lenart of Lavallette, NJ, and 12 beloved grandchildren "The Gang," and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his loving partner, Terry Hassel; and brother, Jeffery Taylor; and nephew, Eddie Glinka; and granddaughter, Miracle Taylor.A memorial service will be held on 11:00 am, Saturday, December 17, in Naples, Florida at The Garden of Hope and Courage.
