William Preston (Willie) Russell1922-2016William Preston (Willie) Russell, 93, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was born on December 12, 1922 in Texas City, Texas to Delbert and Anna Russell. He was preceded in death by step-son, Tommy Atkins and survived by his wife, Dorothy Atkins Russell; children, Willie Mae Dickinson(Tom), Mary Mats(John),William Russell Jr.(Carol), Jeannette Byrd(Gary);daughter-in-law, Billie Atkins;11 grandchildren;13 great grandchildren;1 great-great grandchild. Willie was the owner and operator of Russell's Garage at 201 Broadway for 44 years after which he retired and moved to Muldoon, Texas. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14th from 1-2 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
