William Perrine Obituary

Feb 10, 1967 - Jan 05, 2017

This obituary is administered by:
Perrine, Jr., WilliamWilliam "Bill" Andrew Perrine, Jr. (Sun Prairie) entered into eternal peace the morning of August 5th, 2017. He was born on February 10th, 1967, the son of William Andrew Perrine Sr. and Carolyn Esther (Pachal) Perrine. Bill was an avid reader from the early age of three, and enjoyed works from Shakespeare to Stephen King. He continued to sharpen his mind via his love of crossword puzzles. Politically active from a very early age, Bill continued his love of political banter throughout his life; always maintaining a special affinity for America's Camelot. More robust than his love of reading and politics, Bill loved sports. All of his favorite teams were from the Twin Cities. He was fortunate enough to be there for a Twins championship and some Gopher hockey glory, and he stuck through the ups and downs with the Vikings as they barely missed championships numerous times in his life. He was also an avid fantasy sports player; always wheeling and dealing players, often looking for his favorite players in return. Bill prided himself on his sarcastic sense of humor, and just like his siblings, he showed that he cared for people with gentle, but consistent, teasing. He never poked fun out of malice, or at someone he didn't like; if you were teased by Bill, you were someone he enjoyed sharing time with. He used humor to protect his tender heart; however, once he allowed someone a glimpse of his gentle nature, they would always remember that that is who Bill was---a gentle and loving man. His generous heart always shone through when someone needed a hand or a hug, although Bill was the last person to ask for anything himself. Bill was employed at Red Robin on Madison's East side and had been an employee at Applebee's for nearly twelve years before that. He loved to cook, and according to co-workers, loved a smooth-running kitchen. Beyond his love for his biological family, Bill had strong familial-like ties with his co-workers, past and present; he was loved for his grouchy, but loving ways at both Applebee's and Red Robin in Madison. Many of his past and present co-workers have reached out to the family with offers of heartfelt condolence; they also lost a family member when Bill left us.Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Sr., and his niece, Gloria. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn, to whom he was very close. He is also survived by his sister Julie Reinhart (Mark Reinhart), her three children Miles Perrine, Grace Reinhart, and Jakob Reinhart, his brother Kevin Perrine (Brian Babbitts), and a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at Neillsville City Cemetery, Neillsville, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:30 am. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
