Six William "Bill" Loy Six, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2016. He was born on September 20, 1936 in Ashville, OH to the late Virgil and Effie (Acker) Six. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Beverly (Campbell) Six, brother David, and nephew Stephan Six. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Brad Six; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Stephens and Beth Johnson; grandchildren, Scott Johnson and Samantha (Cody) Adams; and sister, Virgie Vause; and niece, Lucy Vause; and nephew, Benny Vause. After graduating from Walnut high school, he joined the US army and later graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Business. Bill was retired as a home improvements contractor where he worked on just about half the houses in Pickaway County. He also worked at DuPont, Battelle, and Reynolds Aluminum. He was a member of the Lions Club, Shriners and always contributed to any community event that he could, such as Hedges Chapel food booth at the Pumpkin Show or the fish fry at the Ashville Fourth of July, just like his dad did. Bill still, to his last day, loved his wife Bev, way after Alzheimer's took her mind. He did everything he could do to care for her at home. Now he is together with mom in a much better place in heaven. He loved his kids, family, friends and dogs. He enjoyed Lake Erie, amusement parks, John Wayne movies, Seinfeld sitcoms, HO scale miniature trains, woodworking and the Browns. He could actually remember when they were world champs! But his number one joy was spending time with their grandchildren. From the time they were born, living in the house directly next door most of their lives, watching them grow up and become young adults. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 with funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Kenneth Marckel officiating.
