Vandrick, William Joseph "Joe",93, died of natural causes at his home Monday, April 3.He was born on October 8, 1923 in Listowel, Ontario Canada. In 1963 he accepted a position in Louisville with Vulcan Hart Corporation, a manufacturer of commercial cooking equipment. After a successful and colorful career of 25 years he retired as senior vice president of sales.He was an active member of Holy Trinity Church in Saint Matthews, where he established a nursing home ministry which he carried on into his retirement along with his favorite hobbies of fishing and golf. He was loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by Kay, his loving wife of 65 years, their daughter Elaine ( Ed) and son Bill (Sharon), three grandchildren; Jessica Stamper, Joe Vandrick, and Jackie Vandrick and one great grandchild, Jackson Layne Hager. Visitation will be at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, "in St. Matthews", Thursday April 6 from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral mass will be at Holy Trinity Church on Cherrywood Road at 10 AM Friday, April 7 with private interment at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later time.A special thanks to Sam at Hosparus for all of her loving care.
