William "Bill" HallWilliam H. "Bill" Hall, 77, of Lafayette, passed away at his home into the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by his family on Monday, March 27, 2017.He was born on March 15, 1940 in Monon, Indiana to the late James R. and Agnes L. (Bradford) Hall.Bill graduated from Rensselaer High School with the class of 1959.On November 29, 1959, he married Anita K. Cain in Lafayette. They just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Bill worked for Eli Lilly as a chemical operator for 23 years until his retirement. He also worked as a charter bus driver for Hallmark Coaches and Purdue. He drove for a lot of Purdue Events over the years, mostly for the Glee Club. He was a member of Stockwell United Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board and the U.M.C. Men's Group. He also served in the Boy Scouts as Scoutmaster and Bill was a member of the Lilly Retirees Camping Club. He enjoyed Purdue sports along with camping and fishing.Surviving are his wife, Anita Hall of Lafayette; his children, Jeffery (Bobbi) Hall of South Bend, Gregory (Christina) Hall of Lafayette, Pamela (Terry) Sutherland of Indianapolis, Ed (Stacy) Hall of Mishawaka, and Susan (Mike) Kelley of North Carolina. Also surviving is his sister Judith (Marshall) Poor of Winamac, a brother-in-law, Nelson Hartley, his grandchildren, Brittany, Joshua, Danae, Rochelle, Keliah, Ellie, Adam, Angelise, Spencer, Jeff, Jennifer, Joe, and Ryan, and 8 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Hartley.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Stockwell United Methodist Church from 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Stockwell United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Berg officiating. Fisher Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services are handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon's in loving memory of Bill.
