William E. WaitPEORIA - William E. Wait, 91, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at his home.He was born on August 13, 1925, in Peoria, the son of Guy and Myrtle (Droll) Wait. He married Jacqueline Mace on April 30, 1949. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2013.Surviving are is his granddaughter, Heather (Jimmy) Sinnott of Glen Ellyn; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and James.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Vikki (Mark) Winefordner; and a brother, Rexford Wait.Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 9 of Chillicothe. He was a Chief Estimator at Glanz & Killiam Mechanical Contractors in Dearborn, MI. He was the assistant Vice President for Natkin Mechanical Contractors in Peoria from 1978 until he retired in 1994. After a year, he then went back to work as an Estimator for Tobin Brothers in Peoria until his death. Bill was a 50-year member of the George Washington Lodge 222.A Masonic service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe, with military rites at the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
