SCOTT, William "Bill" Duane passed away at home on October 8, 2016 in Tucson, AZ. Bill was born on April 15, 1949 in Willcox, AZ to Dudley and Amelia (Bridges) Scott. He was preceded in death by both parents. Bill spent his early years in southern Arizona, as his father worked on various farms in Cochise and Pima counties. Bill graduated from San Manuel High School in 1967. In 1972, he joined the Air Force. After basic training and tech school, he was assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. On June 19, 1975, Bill married Glenna Anderson in Tucson. Shortly, thereafter, Bill was transferred to Hill AFB in Utah. In June 1978, Bill graduated from Weber State College in Ogden, UT with a BS in Management Logistics. After an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, as a Staff Sgt, Bill and family returned to Tucson. Bill went to work for BDM Corp and then went to work for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace in St. Louis, Mo. In 1981, Bill accepted a position with Martin Marietta in Denver, CO, as a Systems Engineer. The company would later become Lockheed Martin. In 1983 he joined the CO Air National Guard. In 1984, Bill left the guard with an Honorable Discharge as a Tech Sgt. In 2006, the company transferred Bill to the Goodyear, AZ facility. In 2010, Bill retired and in 2013, Bill and Glenna returned to Tucson. Bill is survived by his wife, Glenna; their daughter, Jettie (Bobby) Krantz of Arvada, CO; and granddaughter, Amelia Comstock of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Rich) Allen of Tucson and their sons, Graham (Aileen) and their son, Ryan and Owen (Marty). Inurnment will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway, Tucson at 11:00 a.m. There will be a gathering at the Scott house afterwards.
