William Brooks Sr., 60, of Gary, Indiana, passed Saturday, April 13, 2019. William was born to Joseph Brooks, and Lawanda Mitchel , January 06, 1959 in Gary, Indiana.

William graduated from Crane in 1977 and received a High school diploma. He married Patricia Maghee in 1999, and they lived together in Chicago’s North Westside. William worked as a Chief / cook. He also did a four year tour in the Military and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. In 1989 he was honored with Medals for his heroic roles. 

William is survived by 5 children: William Brooks Jr, Anthony Brooks , Tanya Brooks , Terrell Brooks, and Tonita Brooks.
