William "Bill" Allen William "Bill" Allen 79, passed away on January 15th at his home in University Place. Bill was born on December 7, 1937 in Washington Indiana. In his early years Bill was very active in the Boy Scouts and went on the earn his Eagle Scout badge. He graduated from Washington High School in 1955. He enlisted in the Navy and served for 4 years as a sonar man. After returning home to Indianapolis he met and married Judith Wier. They later divorced and he married Janice Williams in 1984. Bill worked for Weyerhauser in the corrugated container division, having retired from the Lacey location in 1992 as the customer service manager. Bill and Jan spent many of the last years traveling and enjoying many different countries. Bill particularly enjoyed visiting France as he identified with his French heritage. Bill is survived by his wife Jan of University Place. His children Kim Cook (Mark), Stacy Allen, Greg Garcia Allen (Manda), Jeff Williams (Michelle) and Tim Williams (Michelle), plus 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Per his request there will be no memorial service.
