Wilda June Slaughter Glover passed away on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Humble, Texas to Chester and Jewel Slaughter. She graduated from Charles Bender High School in 1943. In July of 1949, she married J.W. Glover. They raised their two children, Bruce and Amy on the family homestead on Isaacks Road where she was born. She worked for Humble ISD and later for the City of Houston at the airport until her retirement. She is preceeded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Chester, Irby, and Paxton. She is survived by her son, Bruce Glover and wife Judy, and daughter Amy Eisterhold and husband Jim. Grandchildren are Brian Glover, Lindsay Glover, Leigh Ann Frew, Ben Eisterhold and Laura Peart. Surviving siblings are Jerry Slaughter and Marilyn Burney. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 31 at 10:00 at Rosewood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the June Glover Endowed Scholarship at Lone Star College.
