Wilbert Knoblock Wilbert "Chief" Knoblock, 87, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. He was born on Sept. 3, 1925. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at Thibodaux Funeral Chapel. Visitation will resume from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church- Thibodaux. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church- Thibodaux. Burial will follow in the church cemetery He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Ledet Knoblock; daughter, Marie Knoblock Legendre; son-in-law, Louis Legendre, Sr.; grandchildren, Louis Legendre, Jr. and wife wife Trisha Legendre and Nicole Legendre; great-grandchildren, Havannah Tello and Alanah Usey; brother, Virdie Knoblock and wife Florence; sisters, Rena "Eva" Knoblock and Irene Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Joan Knoblock. HE was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Knoblock and Camilla Lirette Knoblock; brothers, Wilmas Knoblock and wife Pearl Knoblock and Gilbert Knoblock; sisters, Velma Knoblock and Mildred Ordoyne and husband Emile Ordoyne; brother-in-law, Hugh Rodriguez.Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
