Vincent Veloski, 87, of Weonah, passed away on Thursday morning, January. 3, 2019, at his home.
He was born Oct. 26, 1930, in Philadelphia. On Jan. 23, 1960, he married Rita.
Vincent was a 1948 graduate of Northeast High School and received his bachelor's degree in 1956 from Susquehanna University. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. Vincent was a structural engineer for many years until following his dream of opening a Karate studio in 1981, where he instructed Shotokan Karate for many years with his Son-In-Law Mark and Grandson Vincent. The family run studio taught the art and served the community until Vincent retired in 2002.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by two sons and one daughter, John, Andrew, and Linda; six grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Vincent, Matthew, Luke, and Mary; and one brother, Benjamin.
Farewell Ceremony: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM with military honors accorded by the Air Force Veterans Honor Guard.
