Rzentkowski, VeraVera M. Rzentkowski, 86, of Plover, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.She was born on Aug. 15, 1930, in Stevens Point, to the late William and Gladys (Bronk) Burant, and was a 1949 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School. On Aug. 12, 1950, her marriage to Myron Rzentkowski took place at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Myron died on Sep. 15, 1997.Vera began working at Del Monte in Plover on their first day of operations. She retired from the company as a forelady in 1998. Her interests included polka music and dancing, visiting friends and family, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include her sons, Jack (Melissa) of Stevens Point, Gary of Amherst, and Sid (Cheryl) Rzentkowski of Plover; sister, Theresa Plaski of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Koback, Justin and Sabrina Rzentkowski; and great-grandchildren, Dalton, Devin, Deacan and Dayden Koback. In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Ambrose, Felix and Lucy Burant.The family thanks Dr. Ravi Hanumaiah, along with the nurses and CNAs of the Second Floor at St. Michael's Hospital; and thanks to the staff at The Lodge at Whispering Pines, especially Britney, Katie and Sue - for their care given to Vera.The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Holy Spirit Parish, 838 Fremont Street in Stevens Point. The Rev. Dennis Stanchik will officiate. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street in Stevens Point, and again at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass.
