Vera Lee Harts Obituary

Feb 27, 1949 - Jul 29, 2018

This obituary is administered by:

Your Wings Were Ready, Our Hearts Were Not

Vera was born in 1949, the fifth child to her parents, Jack & Bervie Harts. A loving sister to Leon, Mae, Jack, Geraldine, Bernice, Alonzo, Kathy. A devoted mother to her daughter, Artavius, and a one of a kind nana to her grandchildren, Jailon & Stacayla.

Vera shared a very special bond with her immediate family, she was the fun aunt, so her nephews & nieces held a very special place in her heart. Combine a stick of dynamite, a fiery tongue & a golden heart & there you'll have what made Vera  her own unique self, always one to speak her mind, she had a way with people that either they'd love her or hate her & either way was ok with her.

Always kind hearted & willing to share anything she had, Vera opened her home & her heart to many children over the years & they all held a special place in her heart.

Vera possessed the special gift of humor, often evoking laughter or sheer terror from those on the receiving end, but there's not a person whose life she touched or had a single encounter with that she didn't leave an impression, that was simply who she was.

Her truthful words will resound in the memories of all who knew her, this great big personality with no filter but possessed a heart of pure gold.

There will never be a time when u won't be for me

There will never be a time when I won't look at them and see, all that u were & all that u prayed we'd be

Of all the things that we'll continue to do, the hardest part will be to live without u

I've never not had a mother, I don't know how that feels, always ever-present this pain is unreal

I cannot break down, I cannot let them see me cry, u raised me to keep moving & so I try

Me, the natural born loner & that drove u insane, I never could get on your people train

But U loved people and that was the beauty of your soul, you'd take broken beings & make them feel whole

Yet this hole you've left in me permeates my heart & invades my soul

My very first love, my first teacher, my first friend, my mother a love that will never end.

You can to the family or in memory of Vera Harts.
