Tony A. Kenner, 53Tony A. Kenner, 53, Frankfort, passed away at 9:30 am on Friday, September 23, 2016. He was born on September 8, 1963, in Howard County, the son of Jimmy R. Sr. & Dolores A. (Eidson) Kenner. On July 31, 2009, he married Wendy L. Boller and she survives.Tony was a 1982 graduate of Kokomo High School. He served in the United States Marines from 1982-1986 with the military police. He was a patrolman for the Lafayette Police Department from 1986 to 1995. Tony attended Law Enforcement Academy from February 1987 until May of 1987. He was promoted in December of 1995 to Detective until September of 2002, he was then promoted and spent the next 14 years a Sgt until May 24, 2016. Tony served as Deputy Coroner for Tippecanoe County from 1998 until 2012. He was a member of the FOP, and the American Legion. He umpired for high school baseball through the ISSA and enjoyed golf.Tony is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Kenner, West Lafayette; parents, Jimmy & Dolores Kenner; brothers, Randy Kenner, Kokomo, Denny Kenner, Kokomo, and Jimmy (Kathy) Kenner, Green Bay; sister, Tracy (Jerry) Purnell, Kokomo; step-sons, Scott Huston, Lafayette, Cory Robert Huston, Frankfort, Caleb Gascho, Frankfort; step-daughter, Kirsten Gascho, Frankfort, along with 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 cousins, 5 uncles, and 4 aunts.Funeral services for Tony will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Will Miller officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 pm until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony's memory to the Lafayette Fraternal Order of Police. Stout & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
