Thomas L. "Tom", PetersonThomas L. "Tom" Peterson, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully and joined his wife, Peggy, on Friday, November 25, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 86. Tom was born on March 6, 1930 in New London, WI, the son of Delmar and Myrna. Tom married the love of his life, Peggy Cook on August 18, 1956. He worked as a Land Surveyor for many years and retired from the Department of Transportation in 1998. Tom was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church and was an usher for over 50 years. He proudly served our country in the
U.S. Marine Corps during the
Korean Conflict. Tom was a member of the
V.F.W. in Waukesha, the American Legion, and the Chosen Few. He will be dearly missed by his children, Mark (Eileen), Gayle Rodriguez, Traci Kouhel, and Brent; grandchildren, Jennifer (Clinton), Matthew (Jamie), Zakary, Adam, Erin, and Brianna; and future great-granddaughter. He is further survived by his brother, William Peterson; son-in-law, Randy Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Walter "Buzz" Cook; and many other relatives, neighbors, and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Peggy"; and brother, Dick Peterson.The visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00a.m. The Rev. Jose Nieto will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, P.O. Box 636 Port Washington, WI 53074.
