Terry RunyonELMWOOD – Terry Allen Runyon, 70, of Elmwood passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at his daughter's home in Farmington. He was born on Aug. 10, 1946, in Elmwood to Gene D. and Betty F. (Sandall) Runyon. Terry is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Christopher) Armbruster of Elmwood, and Christine (Clark) Evans of Farmington; two brothers, Dale (Roseann) Runyon of Elmwood, and Dick Runyon of Maquon; two sisters, Patty (the late Gary) Fincham of Elmwood, and Trudy (Ken) Howard of Elmwood; one brother-in-law, George Reicheneker; one sister-in-law, Pat Runyon; six grandchildren, Taylor and Ian Armbruster, and Colton, Colby, Ethan, and Emma Evans; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Duane, Chuck, and Mike Runyon; and three sisters, Janice Reicheneker, Nancy Reicheneker, and Terry's twin, Mary (Don) Carroll. Terry was a Timekeeper and Union Steward at Caterpillar Inc. He retired in 2001 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Maple Lane Country Club since 1976 and served on the board. He was also a past member of the Elmwood Fire Department and the Elmwood Trap Club. Terry loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities. He also loved to golf, fish, and could often be seen driving around Elmwood waving at everyone he passed. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a big supporter of all Elmwood and Farmington teams. Cremation rites have been accorded. To honor Terry, there will be a Remembrance of Life Open House on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Maple Lane Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maple Lane Country Club Terry Runyon Memorial Fund, , Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Beacon of Hope Hospice.To leave online condolences, please visit
