THOMAS JEFFERSON, 85, of Vauxhall, New Jersey, transitioned from this life to eternity on October 16, 2020. THOMAS was born on November 02, 1934 to the late Paul and Frances Blick Jefferson. He was the 3rd child of 10 children, of which Paul Jr, John Lee, William, Frances, and Gracie preceded him in death. Thomas was raised in Greensville County, Va where he graduated. With a desire and determination to succeed, he left Virginia to begin a life in Newark, NJ. GOD gave him a gift to work home improvement and as a painter. For approximately 70 years he mastered his craft and was known and sought by many for his eye for quality and his true desire to help others. It was here where he met and married Mazie Lee Spencer on June 21,1955. From this union, 5 children were born, Thomas Jr, Barry, Perry, Gregory and Tracy. Thomas Jr., and Perry preceded him in death. He later remarried in life to Eunice Lee and expanded our loving family with 2 additional children, Jackie and Robert Lee Jr.

Thomas enjoyed traveling.  He would take annual vacations with his siblings.  He was a road warrior.  Because of his love for family, he would travel each August from New Jersey to Freeman, VA to attend the Jefferson Family Reunion. He didn’t like traffic so he would drive late at night.

To continue his legacy of love, he leaves behind a very devoted friend and confidant, Ms. Eunice Jefferson of Vauxhall, NJ, 4 sons, Barry and Gregory Jefferson of Freeman, Va., Robert Lee Jr of Vauxhall, NJ, and Tracy Jefferson Spencer of Portsmouth Va.; 1 daughter Jackie Lee (deceased); 1 devoted brother Herbert Jefferson (Jennie) of Riverdale, MD. 3 sisters, Annie M. Smith and Lillian Pearson (Fred) of Freeman, VA and Emma Curry (Freddie) of La Plata, MD. Sisters-in-law: Clarice Jefferson of Silver Spring, MD; Edith M. Jefferson of Freeman, VA. 6 grandchildren: Gregory Jefferson Jr. of Denver Colorado; Cherie Jefferson of Charlotte, NC, Crystal Jefferson of Dallas, Tx., Tonishia Jefferson-Harvey (Charles) of Glassboro, NJ; Perry Jefferson, Jr of Norfolk, Va and William (Antwan) Jefferson (deceased); 1 devoted granddaughter: Michele Bond; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
