Shimon, Susan M.Susan M. Shimon, age 61, of Cato, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc.Susan was born on December 28, 1952 in Manitowoc, daughter of Melvin & Dolores (Zipperer) Shimon. She attended River View School and was a Program Participant at Holiday House for the past 42 years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Special Olympics. She enjoyed cutting coupons, bowling and bocce ball. Susan was the Light in our family's life. She loved all her siblings and showed it in many different ways, always with a Smile.Survivors include her parents: Melvin and Dolores Shimon, Cato; 11 sisters and brothers: Michael Shimon; Margie (Joe) Puta; Barbara (Terry) Rush; Mary Ann (Mark) Knier; Paul Shimon; Steven (Sandy) Shimon; Patrick (Jean) Shimon; Bernadine Shimon; Beverly (Rick) Evenson; Carolyn (Chad) Christel; Peter (Wen) Shimon; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister-in-law: Karen Shimon.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 110 West Menasha Avenue, Whitelaw. Rev Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. led by Randy Meidl. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
