Sprangers, SteveSteven C. Sprangers, Combined Locks, age 65, died peacefully on Friday June 30, 2017 at his home with his family by his side following a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 18, 1952 in Green Bay the son of the late Lawrence and Marileen (Vandehey) Sprangers.On June 2, 1972 Steve married the former Jane Verhagen. The couple lived in the area their entire lives. Steve was employed by the city of Kaukauna for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and 'junking'. Steve loved his family, his four grandchildren were his pride and joy.Steve is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane, Combined Locks; son, Mark (Abby), Kaukauna, and their children Reanne and Sarena; daughter Leah (Steve) Novak, Kaukauna, and their children Lilah and Taylor; five brothers and sisters-in-law: Ralph (Jean), Oklahoma, David (Jeanne), Combined Locks, Frank (Beth), Larry (Julie) and Tom (Dawn) all of Menasha. He is further survived by his wife's family: Bill (Deb) Verhagen, Donna (Jerry) Schoen, Paul (Debbie) Verhagen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his wife's parents Dote and Jim Verhagen.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna.
