XENIA — Stephen Worthington of Sabina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 1st following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 2, 1948 to Richard (Dick) Worthington and Elaine (Riley) Worthington. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Deborah, two sons Mark Worthington, Wilmington and Mike (Amy) Worthington, Sabina; daughter Margie (Tony) Smith of Clarksville; two step sons Charles Huston, Wilmington and Bob Huston (LeJean) of El Cajon, CA; and two step-daughters, Pam (Mike) Callahan and Jeanine (Henry) Offor. He is also survived by three sisters, Janice (Jim) Bowen – Xenia, Sharon Worthington (Margaret), Blanchester and Pam Worthington (Eilene) also of Blanchester. He had 15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family spanning several states. Steve retired from Victory Wholesale in 2012 and was able to enjoy his retirement by riding his motorcycle, working outdoors and playing with his faithful friend, Romeo. He was a friend to many and had a genuine smile. His greatest enjoyment was playing Santa every year and sharing the spirit of Christmas with countless children and adults. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Carey Hilterbran officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00–2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
