Stephen Marshall Barrey was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday June 27, 2020 in Santa Rosa, California.  He resided in Oceanside, California with his wife and two young children. Stephen was  a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend.  His death has torn a huge hole in the hearts and lives of the family and friends who loved him.  

Stephen was born on October 21, 1981 in Fallbrook, California to mother Catherine Barrey and late father Christopher Barrey.  He lived most of his childhood in Anza, California with his parents and two siblings, Christopher Barrey (brother), and Emily Barrey (sister).  

Stephen earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from Cal-State Channel Islands in 2007.  He then moved to San Diego with his brother chris.  Stephen was an entrepreneur.  He and his brother started a business and worked in Real Estate flipping houses for three years. They then joined forces with a longtime friend to successfully build a cannabis distribution company, Gold Coast Distributions, which was his most recent endeavor.

Stephen is survived by his wife Kelly; two young daughters, Lillian and Ayla; mother Catherine Beery (Craig); younger brother Christopher Barrey (Alana) and their two children Colt and Avalon; older sister Emily Barrey; younger sisters Maya Barrey and Marlee Barrey and step-mother Julia Barrey.  He is also survived by several extended family members and the many friends who considered him family.  

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Sunday July 5, 2020 at Four Moons in Encinitas at 5:00 pm.  775 North Vulcan Ave. Encinitas, CA 92024.  A gathering/party to follow at Chris and Alana Barrey's home.  Details will be given at the ceremony.
