Stanley B. Lucero, 71, a lifetime resident of Manuelitas passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 in Sapello.He was born on Oct. 22, 1943 in Sapello to the late Melecio Lucero and Glorivea Apodaca Lucero.Stanley worked for more than 45 years at the Pendaries Golf Course, maintenance and plumbing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a hard working family man. Stanley enjoyed gardening, his favorite hobby was going for wood. He was a avid Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed watching football.A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Melecio and Glorivea Lucero; and brothers, Alex Lucero, Leroy Lucero and David Lucero.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Fabby Lucero of the family home in Las Manuelitas; daughters and sons, LoriAnn Encinias and husband, Daniel, of Rociada, Pete Lucero and wife, Edwina, Lawrence Lucero and wife, Diana, Geraldine Padilla and husband, Anthony, all of Las Manuelitas; brother, Wilfred "Wila" Lucero of Las Manuelitas; sister, Elaine Speilman and husband, John, of Arizona; grandchildren, Phillip Martinez and wife, Dahlia, Danielle, Amanda, Justina and Jaylene Encinias, Curtis, Alexis, Travis, Adrianna, Dominic and Crystal Lucero, Ahziaynah Padilla and Anthony Padilla, Jr.; great-grandchildren, James Lucero and Elianna Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Francisco Cemetery in Rociada with the following serving as casket bearers: Curtis Lucero, Dominic Lucero, Alex Lucero, Phillip Martinez, Wilfred Lucero and Tony Padilla.
