Schroeder, ShirleyShirley L. Schroeder, age 91, of Berlin, passed away on February 4, 2017 at ThedaCare Berlin. She was born on February 22, 1925 to George and Ruth (Becker) Gibson in North Fond du Lac, WI. She was united in marriage to Howard Schroeder and made their home in Berlin. Shirley was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School, and worked at various jobs in Berlin including Hardee's in the 1990's. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Berlin, Lutheran Women's Mission League and the Church Altar Guild. She enjoyed knitting, cards, puzzles, dancing and the Wednesday coffee club at Edgewater in Berlin. Shirley is survived by her children, Allan (Shirley) Schroeder, Eric (Carla) Schroeder, Karen (John) Strebelinski, Louis (Joyce) Schroeder, Carl (Sharon) Schroeder, Dawn Voss; a sister, Joan (Gene) Scheer.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Schroeder; a brother, Franklin; daughter in law, Suzanne Schroeder; and a grandson, David Boshela.Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church at a later date.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
