SYRACUSE — Sherry J. Ott, 62, of Syracuse and formerly of Ligonier died at 5:03 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Ott was a lifetime Noble and Kosciusko counties resident and attended West Noble High School. She was a self-employed baby sitter. She was born on Aug. 30, 1953, in Kendallville to Robert Perry and Marilyn (Kiester) Eytcheson. She was married on Feb. 20, 1971, in Wolf Lake to Robert E. "Bob" Ott. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeremy K. (Shawn) Ott and Nathan L. (Stephanie Cannon) Ott, both of Syracuse; two grandsons; her mother, Marilyn Boehm of Fort Wayne; and a brother, Robert "Steve" Eytcheson of Churubusco. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Penny Baker. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Cremation will take place. Memorials are to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Ave., 15th Floor New York, New York 10017 or Spastic Paraplegia Foundation Inc., 1605 Goularte Place, Fremont, CA 94539-7241.
