Sherry M. Appleby-Klein of Yuma, AZ passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015. She was born on August 7, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Roy and Dorothy Craner.Sherry began her career within the hearing aid industry in 1967. She was instrumental in the development of the exams that future Audiologists and hearing aid dispensers took to become certified. Sherry married Roger ""Buck"" Appleby in March of 1972 in Phoenix, AZ. They had 2 beautiful daughters, Tina and Glenda as well as a foster daughter named, Sheila Brooks. She moved to Yuma with her family in 1980 where she started her hearing aid business alongside her parents, known as Beltone and later branched off to become Hearing Aid Specialists. Sherry was the chair for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She has received so many awards and accolades; to list them all is not possible. Sherry proudly traveled multiple times with Starkey on missions to other communities and countries to provide hearing services to the underserved.Sherry was blessed to find love twice in her life. Long after the passing of her husband, Buck she met Jerry Klein. The two were married in July of 2014. Despite her success within the hearing aid industry, her best quality and accomplishment was that of daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Sherry happily crocheted blankets as a hobby and joyfully gave them to family, closest friends, children and elderly people throughout Yuma and beyond. To all those that have received her loving warmth they can cuddle up and feel her hug for many years to come.Sherry is survived by her husband, Jerry Klein; daughters, Tina (Herb) Kiser and Glenda (Donny) Hazlett; foster daughter, Sheila Brooks; grandchildren, Bethany, Enya, Mackenzie and Gavin; brothers, Mike (Juanita) Craner, Greg (Pam) Craner, Brent (Pam) Craner and David (Rosa) Craner; as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Roger ""Buck"" Appleby; parents, Roy and Dorothy Craner. Pallbearers will be Donny Hazlett, Herb Kiser, David Craner, Brad Gray, Bruce Bryant, Jason Baker and Gavin Hazlett.
