Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Sheila Romain a resident of Van Nuys will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13 2017 at St. David Catholic Church, 5930 West 12th Street, Van Nuys California Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, at Anderson & Thomas Funeral Services, 5943 North 15th Street in downtown Los Angeles. The will be a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. to begin the visitation. There will be an additional visitation from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Sheila Romain passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2017, at the Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles. She was born January 13, 1960, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She is the daughter of George and Eva Romain. She was united in marriage to Adam M. Harris on July 10, 1988, in Seattle, Washington. He preceded her in death November 17, 2002. They were married for 14 blissful years.

Sheila received her Registered Nursing degree from Seattle Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing in Seattle. She worked as a private duty nurse in Seattle Memorial Hospital for 20 years. Mrs. Romain was a member of the St. David Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s League. Her parents were very active in the church and she began volunteering at the age of 14. She was the past-president of the Catholic Women’s League and volunteered at the church.

Sheila is survived by her children, Monique Romain, Dominique Romain, Rex Romain; a son-in-law, Casey Meyers; her loving grandchild, Stella Marie; and one sister, Nerland Robinson.
