Looby, age 60, of Landenberg, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, after a courageous battle with liver cancer.He was born on July 12, 1957, son of the late John T. Looby and Jeanne C. Looby.He enjoyed all sports and was the commissioner of our family Fantasy Football league. He had a passion for music and took advantage of every opportunity to attend a live concert. During his time as an Eagle Scout, he truly began to love and appreciate the outdoors. He had a green thumb and reaped the benefits of a broad selection of fruits and vegetables from his own garden. He especially enjoyed his annual trips to Hatteras, NC where he relaxed, fished and soaked his feet in the ocean.Shaun was preceded in death by his parents, Constance and John T. Looby. He is survived by his mother, Jeanne C. Looby; his longtime friend, Anne Pentz and her daughter Leah; his children, Andrea Griffith (Essex) and Jamison Griffith; 7 grandchildren; his siblings, Cynthia Looby (Pat), Deborah Looby, Melissa Sedlacek, Andrea Krzyzanowski (Matt), Kevin Looby (Jackie), Christopher Looby (Carol), Neil Looby (Gwen) and John Looby (Joy); several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Hospice for their love and compassion during his final days.Services and burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shaun may be made to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804 ( www.faithfulfriends.us).Doherty Funeral HomesTo offer condolences,visit www.dohertyfh.com302.999.8277
