Sharon Kay Mathis1948 - 2013Sharon Kay Mathis, 65, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at her home with her loving family by her side. Sharon was born on June 13, 1948, in Racine to Harold and Rose (Peterson) York. She married Terry Mathis in Waukegan, Ill. Sharon worked as a cook and worked at Tyson Foods for five years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and loved beating her family in Yahtzee. Sharon really enjoyed being outdoors especially anytime she could be out fishing. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.She was preceded in death by, her parents; and four brothers, Harold, Robert, Francis and Michael York. Sharon is survived by, six children, Jody (Mark) Barden, Donna York, Thomas (Kate) York, April Walker, Joseph York and Shane York; 28 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; seven siblings, Donna Huber, Jackie Hansche, Judy Vargas, Brenda Otto, Terry York, Cindy Pease and Danny York; 25 nieces and nephews and 48 great nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends.A private family gathering will be held at a later date.Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home6019 7th Avenue262-654-2136www.hansen-lendmanfuneralhome.com
