Sharon Lee (Cleary) DayWARRENTON, VA: A funeral service celebrating the life of Sharon Lee (Cleary) Day will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 7 p.m. at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, with Reverend Mark Katrick officiating. Sharon passed away on November 9, 2017 at her residence in Warrenton, Virginia. She was born on February 15, 1945 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Lloyd Cleary and Alyce (Harrison) McClung. Sharon graduated from Central Ohio Technical College, in Newark, Ohio with her degree in nursing. Her nursing career spanned over 20 years until she had to retire due to her health. She loved taking care of people and would have given the shirt off her back if needed. Sharon and her sister liked to do the same types of things and were always together. They had weekly poker nights that they would plan all week. They would get upset with the kids if poker was cancelled. They would go to yard sales, play bingo, and they liked to read the same types of books. Sharon also enjoyed going to the casino with her daughters. She is survived by her two daughters, Laura (Sherry Sprague) Day and Jami (Karl) Giannaccini; one son, Karl "David" Schnick; three grandchildren, David, Gregory, and Katelynn; one brother, David (Ann) Cleary; one sister, Linda (Raymond) Cooper; cousin, Patty (Michael) Pettis; four nieces, Lisa (Kyle) Miller, Michelle (Tim) Watson, Mindy (Bruce) Pettis and Michelle (John) Riley; and four nephews, Sean (Theresa) Overbey, Tom (Kelly) Cleary, Raymond (Kim) Cooper, and Mickey (Nicole) Pettis. There are many great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lana "Sue" Overbey.
