SFC Sarah Ashley Georgia Edwards, 28, of Macon, passed heroically Friday, September 14, 2018.

She was born to the late George and Valerie Edwards, January 2, 1990, in Macon. Georgia. Sarah graduated from West Aurora High School in 2008 and enlisted in the United States Army upon graduation.

Sarah was a loving sister, a caring aunt, and a devoted daughter. Her want to better the world and follow in her brothers footsteps drove her to Afghanistan to change the world for the better.

Sarah was an active member of South Georgia Fellowship Church, and the Notre Dame Club of Indiana. She loved to travel, and took pride in her culinary skills.

Sarah is survived by her mother Valerie, of Macon, Georgia, her two brothers and two sisters, and her fiance Jason.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.

The family is extending the memorial service to members of the community. Memorial Service will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Sunday, September 16th
