DENISON - Sara Ann Griffen (Eads) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, to be with the Lord on January 4, 2017, at the age of 78.Sara was born on June 26, 1938, in Throckmorton, Texas, to Hershall Eads and Pearl Wooten (Kerr). She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a BS degree in Social Work. Sara was a devoted mother, and she loved working in her garden. She loved reading old western books, decorating cakes, needle point, and spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be truly missed.Sara is survived by her children, Barbara Kelley (James) of McKinney, TX, Mike Griffen of Denison, TX, Dawn Webber of Beaumont, TX; and her sister Mary K. Johnson of Denison, TX; 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her Daughter Lorrie Ann Webber; Son Bruce Webber, Parents Hershall Eads and Pearl Wooten (Kerr); and siblings Herman Eads, Edward L. Eads, and Thomas Eads.A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church at 1900 W. Lamberth Rd., Sherman, TX; with a reception at the church immediately following the service.Personal condolences can be made at www.bratcherfuneralhome.com.
