Sandra Moss, 62, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed on November 13, 2020. Sandra was born on October 11, 1958, to the parents of Florence Ann Gadsden and James Ernest Gadsden. Sandra graduated from Burke High School and went on to receive her BSN at USC in Anderson, South Carolina. She then went on to MUSC in order to pursue her Master\'s Degree. After graduating from MUSC School of Nursing in 1981, Sandra then went to MUSC to begin her career. She started working in the Recovery Room as a staff nurse. Because of her impeccable work ethic, she was quickly promoted to Coordinator. After some years later, she went on to work in the old County Hospital as Coordinator. In the late 1990\'s, she became the first Coordinator to work in the Surgical Access Unit. During this time, she also worked at Heartland Nursing Home. Throughout her career, Sandra demonstrated her excellent nursing skills with a special caring and sense of humor that the patients always remembered. She was truly a nurse with a calling and lived her dream of being a nurse for 41 years.
In the early years of her life, Sandra met and married Alvin J. Moss and from that union, they had two beautiful children, Pamela Lynn Moss, and Brent Steven Moss.
Sandra was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years. During her membership at Mt. Zion, she was involved in the Scholarship Committee, Pastor\'s Aide, and Nursing Committee.
What she is known for the most are her knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed singing, reading, caring for others, traveling, and serving the Lord.
Sandra leaves behind her two children, Pamela Moss and Brent Moss as well as her siblings James \" Sonny \" Gadsden Jr, Trarhonda Britt, and Christopher Gadsden.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband of 32 years, Alvin J. Moss; ten grandchildren, Micah Moss, Janelle Moss, Darriel Anderson, Ravin Anderson, Kashondre Kennedy, Nakilyah Richmond, Tommy Richmond Jr, Spencer Richmond, Christyl Jenkins, and Briana Spencer; a loving sister Brenda Bankhead; three nieces Phoebe Search, Renee Montgomery and Erika Bankhead; nephew, Jim Search; long time friend, Hazel Walker and a host of family and friends.
