She was born on March 3, 1950 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late William F. Spence and Barbara Spence who resides in Wilmington, DE.Sandy was a Program Director and Coach for Special Olympics Delaware and was a Coach for the Smyrna-Clayton Little Lass. She was a member of the Smyrna Lions Club where she served as President. Sandy often enjoyed traveling to Lions Conventions and spending time at the beach.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Marie Vig.She is survived by her son, Scott Weis; her granddaughter Keira Weis; her son-in-law, Paul Vig; and her mother, Barbara Spence. She is also survived by her siblings, Cathy and Jerry Blanco and Randy and Vicki Spence.A viewing will be offered on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 7 - 9 pm and again on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10 - 11 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna, DE. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will be privately held.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Special Olympics Delaware, 619 S.
