Salvatore Faraci, 73, of Rocky Hill, born on December 23rd 1942 in Eritrea, Africa to Luciano and Marianna (Tuccitto) Faraci. Sal leaves behind his Loving Wife and best friend of 53 years, Sylvia C. Faraci. He came to the United States on his own at the age of 17, where he fell in love with his wife of 53 years, Sylvia C. Faraci. He is survived by two children; his daughter Andrea G and her husband Robert Greene, his son Luciano V. Faraci; three grandchildren, Cristina Giancola, Thomas and Luciana Faraci, one great grandchild Nicholas Faraci, his sister Concettina Bonaiuto, sister in law Theresa "Ava" DiPersio and many nieces and nephews. Sal was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother and his wife Francesco and Sylvianne Faraci, and sister in law, Lucia Palazzo. Sal was a machinist for Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford for 27 years, a member of the Floridian Society in Rocky Hill, President for 3 years and a member of the Pratt and Whitney Pistol league. His true love was spending time with his family and vacationing in Saint Maarten and South Carolina. We could always find him on the beach surrounded by his family and friends. He was the honorary mayor of the Pelican Resort in Saint Maarten. Sal was a man of integrity and always did what was right and instilled his values in his family. A special thanks to Sebby and Gene "the bird" for all of their love and support during these hard times. Funeral services will be Monday, November 14th at 10am directly in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy. Wethersfield. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN on Sunday from 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers send donations to the Salvation Army.
