Ruth K. Runge RACINE – Ruth Katherine (nee: Kramer) Runge, 86, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Franciscan Villa in So. Milwaukee. Ruth was born on October 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Harry and Johanna (nee: Barwich) Kramer. On February 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Marshall L. Runge. Ruth had been employed with Racine Unified School District as a library aide for several years. She was a charter member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church and was a former volunteer for St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary and Lincoln Lutheran Auxiliary. Ruth loved to travel extensively throughout the United States and Europe. She also enjoyed gardening, golfing, and musical productions. Ruth is survived by her children, Peggy A. Runge of Bellevue, KY and Jeffrey R. (Constance J.) Runge of Oak Creek; grandchildren, Elaine P. Runge, Colleen M. Runge and David R. Runge all of Oak Creek, sister-in-law, Elaine R. Wieman of Racine. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall on December 5, 1995, daughter, Susan R. Runge on April 24, 2002; brothers and sisters, Desire (Ewald) Elbe, Harry (Ruth) Kramer, Sherman (Lucille) Kramer and Jeannette, (Eugene) LaCroix. Memorial services for Ruth will be held at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 Green Bay Rd. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. Ruth will be laid to rest at Caledonia Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
