Bantin, Ruth Antonia (Nee Grueninger) age 91, passed away on April 12, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital. She was born on October 28, 1925 to Carl and Antonia (Rall) Grueninger in Eningen, Germany. Over the years Ruth held various administrative positions at businesses and academic institutions in the greater Milwaukee area. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to making the world a better place for her family. Special family memories include the annual vacations "Up North" and the family holiday celebrations which she made so special. Ruth will be intensely missed by her four children - Philip Bantin, James Bantin, Jill Van Vechten, and Jane Edenharder; her son-in-laws - Bradley Van Vechten and Gary Edenharder; daughter-in-law - Julia Pophal; and her three grandchildren - Alexander Zobrack, Lindsay Edenharder, and Jaime Edenharder. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and her brother Carl Grueninger. A private family ceremony will be held at the family gravesite at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Monday, April 17th.
