It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much beloved and adored wife, mother, and grandmother, Ruth Ann Pickett, on September 9th, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ruth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Paul and Mildred Sorenson. At the age of 19, she met her husband Jim and moved to Canada. Together they raised four children.

Mom enjoyed many things such as crafts, knitting, sewing, canning, cooking, and bingo. She loved her family deeply and was always willing to lend a hand or advice. Coffee was always on at her house for anyone who dropped in. Mom was known for her kindness and strength.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim; her brother, Paul (Dianne); her children, Bradley, Barbara (Roy), Laura and James Jr.; her grandchildren, Brittney, William, Nicole, Katie, Jesse, and Chris; her "Poopie" Remmington; as well as, many other relatives.

A private family service will be held and she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
